The Excursion is the best boot of its class: a light to
mid duty plastic backcountry touring boot with amazing
torsional stability and a leather-like bellows flex.
Pair it with a metal-edged touring ski or even a light
telemark ski and a 3-Pin binding and you'll be touring
in warmth and comfort all day long.
For the '06-07 season, Garmont dropped the G-Fit liner in favor of
a standard liner that is more padded, leading to what we
find is a more comfortable fit. The new liner is not
heat-moldable, so other than some packing out it won't
change much from the original out of the box fit.
Garmont women's sizing: Garmont half-sizes have the same shell
as the whole size below, i.e. a 24.5 is the same shell
size as a 24. Garmont liners are all different--a 24
will be slightly tighter than a 24.5. We recommend sizing
Garmont Excursions either true to size !
