Hornbeck Lost Pond Boats are small, ultra-light canoes.
Weights range slightly with
Hornbeck's best seller weighing in at a scant 16 lbs.
They are generally used 'solo' although one of the 12'
models can be used as a tandem on relatively calm water
(the 'tandem' model would be a special order, but
easily arranged). They are stable enough for a wide
range of activities from fly fishing to photography,
'sea-worthy' enough to use when it's windy and wavy,
nimble and responsive like a kayak, comfortable to use
for hours at a time, spacious enough to carry gear for
extended trips, durable enough for punishing use and
light enough to be carried far beyond the range of more
conventional canoes. They are the best selling canoes
