The Mega-Ride is Garmont's best ski mountaineering option--
light enough for huge days but definitely beefy enough to
handle any terrain. The Mega-Ride remains the standard by
which AT boots are judged.
Weight: 7lbs 12oz (size 28) as measured at the Mountaineer
Garmont sizing: Garmont half-sizes have the same
shell as the whole size below, i.e. a 28.5 is the same shell
size as a 28. Garmont liners are all different--a 28 will
be slightly tighter than a 28.5. With heat molding we find that
the difference is not noticeable. We recommend sizing
Garmonts down one shell size. If you are a 10 (AS MEASURED ON A
BRANNOCK DEVICE) you will be a 27 in Garmont. You'd be fine
with a 27.5 as well.
