The West Branch of the Ausable is fishing well, albeit a little low, 400-500cfs. This is still an above-average water level for this time of year, but it is running clear and at a good temp…around 58-62degrees. Size 8-10 BH Wooly Buggers (Black), 8-10 CH Marabou Muddlers (White), Weighted Muddlers size 8-10 and Yellow Stonefly Nymphs. Adams Parachutes 14-16 Hendricksons 12-14
BH HE Nymphs and PT Nymphs are productive as well.
Late day and evenings are producing the most fish.
Remember, as we head into the summer, keep an eye on water and air temps. As it gets hotter, give the Trout a rest and hit some Bass or Pike in one of the many great warm water fisheries in the area.
