Patagonia Provisions are a simple, healthy and sustainable food source, now available at The Mountaineer. We recently started carrying this new option for backpackers, hikers and climbers who are looking for an alternative to the “boil in a bag” type of food. While they’re sporting several options from Wild Sockeye Salmon and Buffalo Jerky to hot Breakfast items and Mango fruit bars, we chose to carry a few select offerings.
Back in early Spring we had the pleasure of sampling the goods (you’ll have that opportunity as well, keep reading) which saw us chowing down the Lemon Pepper and Lummi Island Wild Sockeye Salmon, snacking the Inca Berry and Almond Bar on the trail and at the crag, we were also able to sample a variety of dry soups and decided on the Green Lentil, Black Bean and Tsampa Soups, all of which is available at the shop. One of the features that is especially nice about these soups is that Patagonia, being Patagonia, went the extra mile to add in some extra cooking tips and tricks on the back of all the soups to add additional goodness to your back country meal! Enjoy
Sample Patagonia Provisions for yourself at The Mountaineer on Labor Day Weekend, Saturday Sept 2, 2017. Patagonia will be here hosting a small demo and cooking up some provisions while spreading the word behind why choosing a sustainable, healthy food option is the way to go. Demo runs 9AM-3PM
